Welcome to Sicily, Island of Art. Whatever type of transportation you choose to use, reaching our hotel is very easy, all you need is a few simple tips. So here they are:
By car: On Autostrada (highway) A18 exit at Taormina. Continue for about 6 km towards “Toarmina centro”, until you reach the “Lumbi” parking area. From there take the “Montetauro” tunnel located to the left of the parking lot and continue until you arrive at “Porta Catania”. Continue on Via Fazzello. To the left of the arch, at about 500 metres, you will find Hotel Vello d’Oro to the right.
By train:
Get off at the Taormina-Giardini Naxos train station. From there you can take a taxi to Hotel Vello d'Oro, which is about 2.5 km away (you may reserve the taxi service directly from this site) or take a bus from the Sais bus line.
By plane:
From Catania’s “Fontanarossa” international airport: A18 Catania Messina (towards Messina), exit at Taormina > rent a car (various rental companies available) > bus service for Taormina (about a 60 minute ride. Interbus – Etna Trasporti Timetable link here) > taxi service for Hotel Vello d'Oro (directly reserve transfer services with favourable rates on this site).

Our privileged location is one of the main characteristics of this hotel, very much appreciated by all our guests; in fact "being right downtown" is surely considered one of our stronger points. Each point of interest can be seen at a glance and are within walking distance. A few meters away from the hotel there’s the cableway station that in just a couple of minutes takes you to the beaches of Taormina. IsolaBella, Mazzarò are beautiful beaches with clean, crystal clear waters and they are also protected and administered by the WWF. In addition to the cableway there are also trails/shortcuts that take to the beaches in about 25/30 minutes. Enviable location in the heart of the city: since the hotel is located on a higher level than the main Street and in line with the rest of the city's homes it has a full view of the horizon, about 180 degrees beginning from the slopes of MonteTauroe, hence the TeatroGreco, to the entire Bay of Naxos and Mount Etna.
